Can people see different shades of the same colour ?

There isn’t really an answer to this question. It’s a good question though! I myself wonder about a similar thing. Is what I see as a colour the same as what another person sees? My point being is that I know something is green because I have always been told the colour that I see is green. But, for all I know, what I see as green, you might see as the colour I know as red, or yellow, or blue, etc. There is no way of knowing, as we can’t get inside other peoples heads. The same goes for smell and taste. I suppose it all comes down to interpretation. We’ll never be able to stand in someone else’s shoes and see through their eyes, so we’ll never know. Hope that makes sense.
