I believe too that Manny's legacy is secured whether he loses by points or via the short route. He will be remembered as a boxer who was great enough to have scaled the weights and won championships in seven weight divisions. Every boxer has his own point of diminishing return--either he became too old or reached his optimum at a certain weight cl. It can always be said that at least Manny won a world title in the welterweight and beat some of the division's top fighters before he met and fell to not only the division's but boxing's best in his time. That's an admirable feat that can never be duplicated and will stand the test of history.
